Graduation Celebration Extravaganza!!!

Oh HAPPY Day!! As most of you know, Riley graduated last Friday with his Bachelors in Business Economics. It's been a long time coming, so you bet we were going to party like ROCK STARS!! Here's some pics of the blessed event. (The pictures of Riley walking and actually getting his diploma are too dark to see- sorry)

Here's Riley after walking and getting his diploma. Priceless!!

Riley with his Mom, Carol and Step-Dad Steve.

Riley with his sweet little Grandma.

Riley and his Dad, Dio.

Riley and the person to whom he owes his degree to! HA HA I know I'm exaggerating, but I think I should get some recognition too.

Ahhh, the sacred bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label which Riley saved for 2 1/2 years- so he could drink it on graduation night. He had about half a glass...

The BOYS of the party!

We also went to dinner at the Warehouse Steak Company, but apparently we didn't take any pictures there. His Mom, Step-Dad and Dad were there, my Mom and Dad, Riley's brothers and sisters- Robbi, Tyler (and his girlfriend Bobbi Jo) Steven and Sydney, and our friends Mike, Derek and Chrissy. Thanks to everyone who couldn't be there, but sent cards to give their support and well wishes!

Veteran's Day

Since Tuesday was Veteran's Day, my super talented sister, Andrea made a lovely arrangement to put at my Grandpa Zweifel's grave. We met at the cemetery to show our respect. I forgot to take my camera, so hopefully she'll post some pics. My other Grandpa (who is still with us) is a Vet also. What an honor it is to have such great men in my life. Happy Veteran's Day!

...And I Cried Real Tears!!...

Ok, not real tears- but my most beloved football team, the Oakland Raiders, got completely smoked last night by that team from Denver. I will be a gracious loser and fully admit that my boys are in need of some serious work. Hopefully our QB will step up his game and maybe we could win a game in the next ten years. I still love my Raiders!! Go Team!!

Ok, Ok- I'll blog already!!!

I've Been Tagged By Annie Banannie! The Rules:-Link the Person who Tagged you-Mention rules on your blog-Tell about 6 quirks of yours-Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same-Leave a comment to let them know.
I TAG- Hollie. Sorry, I don't know 6 fellow bloggers- and tagging is just rude! hee hee

So, here's the 6 quirky things about me...

No. 1: I ABSOLUTELY HATE even numbers. I'm a total numbers freak. I count everything- objects, lines on the road, faces... you name it, I count it. And I do everything in 3's. I use 3 squirts of soap to wash my hands, then 3 paper towels to dry them. Yep- Super Freak!! (P.S. 9-9-09!!!)

No. 2: I'm just waiting for a completely tragic and bizarre accident to either kill or mame me. For example: when I'm standing at my kitchen sink, I just know that at any minute my knees are going to give out on me and I'll smack my face on the counter and knock out all of my teeth!! Don't laugh- it could really happen.

No. 3: I have a very strict bed time during the week. I must be in bed no later then 10:30, and believe me, if it's later then 10:30 I am NOT a happy camper!! To prove my point, let me expand on the subject. When Riley and I rent a movie during the week, we have to check how long it is so that we know the latest possible time we can start it for me to still be in bed by 10:30. Riley thinks the whole thing is ridiculous, but deals with it, because it's not changing!

No. 4: (another stupid even number) This is getting challenging... Some of my favorite things are monster truck events, drag racing, ultimate fighting, football (Go Raiders!!).... you know, the real "girly" things.

No. 5: Ok this is goofy and I can't believe I'm sharing this- but here ya go. When I read a book, i.e. Twilight, or The Confessions of a Shopaholic- I always get so consumed with the female character. What I mean is, I start thinking like that character, and talking in my head how I think they would sound. Hmmm, I'm not doing a very good job describing this, so if you want a more in depth explantion- call me! HA HA HA

No. 6: (Six is the number I HATE most of all)- Ok- I really am a wierd-o! My final quirky thing is that I can't stand certain words. I am NOT going to post the words I can't stand, because then some people (Andrea) think it's really funny to say them to me over and over and over.

So there ya have it!! Thanks Andrea- this was such a blast, and I'm sure everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! Oh, and I promise I'm going to do a catch up post some time soon, and then I'll try to post more regularly! Thanks

Sports Update!!!

I don't know how many of you out there love sports... but in case you didn't see it, or hear about it... I'm going to fill you in. Tiger Woods won the US Open after two ties with Rocco Mediate. It came down to a sudden death- and yep, he won!!

And in the world of basketball, the CELTICS won over the Lakers!! It's about time boys! And they didn't win by just a little bit.. they had a 39 point lead!! It has been 22 years since the Celtics won the Finals. Congrats to Paul Pierce for winning MVP of the game.

So now... let's bring on the FOOTBALL!!!

Relay For Life!

For those of you not familiar with the Relay For Life- it's an all night relay walk. Why all night? To symbolize the fact that cancer never sleeps. My mom, sisters and I met at the Weber State Stadium at noon on Friday. We had six tents set up in just over an hour. Pretty impressive for us girls! It was extrememly windy and cold and rainy- but we were committed to the cause, and weren't giving up.

We decided to do this event after my sweet Grandma Dille passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. My Grandpa Dille came up for a while and was very moved with how we were honoring "Onze Held" - Our Hero.

Remember the construction pics from a few posts ago?? Here is the finished project! Our Windmill turned out so great!! The boys on our team were very impressed with the end result- seeing as we started out with nothing but a refrigerator box and a vision.

Although it was cold and rainy, and a VERY long night... we endured till the end. GO TEAM WINDMILL!!!

We Love You Oma!!

Dance Recital, Birthday Party, Dance Recital

Last Friday night was Andrea's dance recital for her studio, Just For Kicks.
Kaycee and Bradee having fun after the show was over. They both did great!!

Marlee did great too - she was a little shy on stage, but always fun to watch!
The next day was the triplets birthday party. Brynlee, Easton and McKenna turned FIVE years old!! They were so excited, and had a blast at their luau party.

Last, but certainly not least, was Savannah's dance recital on Saturday night. She did a really good job!!
